AUGUST 27, 2004 - Posted at 7:42 a.m. CDT

KENNETT, MO - A southeast Missouri couple has been sentenced to another prison term for kidnapping a neighbor and leaving her seriously injured on the other side of the state.

Gregory and Toni Allen, of Campbell, pleaded guilty in Kennett this week to kidnapping and robbery.

Dunklin County authorities said both were sentenced to 19 years for robbery and nine years for kidnapping.  The sentences will run concurrently with a 26-year sentence the Allens received in Dallas County, where they pleaded guilty to assault.

Late last year they robbed 67-year-old Carmen Tibbs in Campbell.  She was driven to Dallas County, in southwest Missouri.

Tibbs was beaten, her throat was slashed and she was left alongside of a road.

She made it to a house, where she got help.
