NORFORK, AR (KAIT)- A man was arrested in Norfork after Baxter County deputies got reports of suspicious activity at some mini storage units in Salesville Wednesday.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Christopher Rick, 36, was arrested while traveling on Highway 5 towards Norfork. A Baxter County deputy met the white Chevrolet truck and after a chase, he was arrested.

Another vehicle had already been located and searched in connection to the thefts from the storage units.

After Rick's arrest, his truck was searched. Drug paraphernalia and three Vyvanse capsules were found. Vyvanse is considered a schedule II substance. Several things from the Salesville storage units were found in the bed of the truck, including a welding cart and scrap metals valued at around $500.

Rick is now being charged with breaking or entering, theft of property, possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and fleeing from an officer. Rick is being held on $7,500 bond with a court appearance on May 23.
