Man arrested for multiple drug charges

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Lone Rock man has been arrested for multiple charges.

A vehicle had been taken from its owner and not returned was spotted at Murphy Oil Gas Station on Sunday night.

Sergeant Charles Bost was notified and stopped the vehicle. The driver, 35-year-old Jonathan E. Nesting, was driving on a suspended license. Nesting told police that he had injected meth earlier and the needles and drugs were in the SUV.

While searching the vehicle, police found syringes, 2.3 mg of marijuana, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen tablets.

Nesting was arrested and taken to the Baxter County Detention Center. He is being charged with DWI by drugs, driving on a suspend license, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the unauthorized use of a vehicle.  

 Bond has been set at $7,500. Nesting will appear in court on Thursday.

    Jonesboro Police Officer Joseph Bransetter pulled over a car for no license plate illumination shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday. Bransetter said after coming into contact with the driver, Eiichi Moore, he noticed the smell of marijuana.
