Baxter Co. toddler found in less than an hour after reported missing

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A missing toddler was found an hourafter a report was filed for the child's disappearance on Wednesday morning.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, a parent reporteda two-year-old child missing from residence in southern Baxter County.

Deputies immediately responded to the call and made preparationsto use the helicopter from the sheriff's office and bring a dog tracking teamfrom the Department of Corrections in Calico Rock to locate the child.

Initial search parties arrived in the area and conducted a search.In less than an hour, the child was spotted by a neighbor about a half a mileaway from the residence.

The child was found safe and with no injuries.
