ADHE warns High School seniors of scholarship deadline

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) –Representatives from the ADHE warned Region 8 seniors about the scholarshipdeadline.

The deadline for scholarshipapplications are at midnight, June 1.

Shane Broadway is with theArkansas Department of Higher Education, and said before you set out to enjoyyour summer, get your paperwork in order first online with the "YOU Universal"application on the ADHE website.

"It will walk you througha series of steps and questions and then it will tell you everything you needto know.  It will tell you whichscholarships you qualify for and it will also tell you what information we needfrom you in order to be eligible, in order to receive the scholarship", saidBroadway.

Broadway says even thoughit does shut down at midnight, you can submit your application late if you havejustification such as a medical emergency or family emergency.

If you are presented withthis situation you need to contact them since they work on a case by casebasis.

For additional informationor help, Broadway says the fastest way is to contact the ADHE through text oremail.
