Sen. Mark Pryor to host sportsmen town hall meeting
LITTLE ROCK (AGFC) — U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor announced that he will host a "Sportsmen Town Hall" on June 1 in Little Rock. The 10 a.m. meeting will be held at the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in the River Market District.

As Vice Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus and member of the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission, Pryor will discuss issues affecting Arkansas hunters, anglers and outdoorsmen.

"Enjoying the outdoors is a way of life for thousands of Arkansas families. It's also a foundation of our economy, with sportsmen contributing over $1.8 billion to Arkansas's economy each year," Pryor said. "That's why I'm fighting to preserve and promote these traditions on a federal level. I hope Arkansans will join me for a discussion about how I can better support Arkansas sportsmen. After the discussion, please join me at MacArthur Park for an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission family fishing event. "

AGFC Director Mike Knoedl said providing an opportunity to enjoy Arkansas's natural resources is one of the agency's main focuses. "Arkansas's hunting, fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities exist because of the dedicated outdoor enthusiasts of this state. We're very fortunate to live in an area so rich in wildlife resources," Knoedl explained.
