Deerfield drops game one, Crisp Academy swept

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Friday was a rather forgettable day for a few South Georgia baseball teams as both Deerfield-Windsor and Crisp Academy suffered losses in the semifinal round of the GISA State Baseball Tournament.

In Class AAA, Deerfield-Windsor dropped a 9-2 contest to Brookwood in Albany.  The Knights will try to avoid elimination in game two at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with a possible game three to follow.

In A, the season came to a crashing end for the Crisp Academy baseball team. The Wildcats were swept by Bethlehem Christian on the road, 10-5 in game one and 25-2 in game two.
