JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- A Jonesboro girl is recovering after being hit by a car Sunday afternoon.
The father of Elizabeth Jones tells Region 8 News his daughter had surgery to repair her spleen and is now breathing on her own.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, Elizabeth was on her bike when she pulled out of a driveway and into the path of an SUV on Kent's Place in South Jonesboro. The report states she was thrown over 20 feet.
The driver of the SUV was not cited in the accident.
Elizabeth's dad says his daughter also has a broken arm and a slight concussion. She continues to recover at Lebhonuer Children's Hospital in Memphis.
