12 year old arrested after swinging pipe at siblings, and threatening mom

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A 12 year old is under arrest after police say he tried to hit his brother and sister in the head with a metal pipe, and threatened to slit his mom's throat.

According to the Jonesboro Police report, around Noon Thursday police were called to an area off Aggie Road after a 911 call of a juvenile swinging a metal pipe at other kids.

When police arrived the mother of the boy said he took a metal pipe off his scooter, and swung it at the head of his brother and threatened to do the same to his sister.

When the mom confronted the child, he told her he wished she was dead and then said he wanted to slit her throat.

No one was injured in the confrontation.

Police did arrest the 12-year-old and he was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault on a family member.
