JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A woman faces forgery charges for trying to use a false prescription at a pharmacy on Thursday.
Jonesboro Police received a call from the All Care Pharmacy. The pharmacist called the police, after she suspected the prescription pad 22-year-old, Tameka Harris tried to use was false when she saw the prescription came from a doctor in West Memphis.
According to the Jonesboro pharmacist, she recently received a previous false prescription from the West Memphis pharmacy.
When Harris was being questioned by police, she said it was her sister's prescription but did not know the name.
It was then discovered, Harris was just friends with the woman. Harris was taken into custody and faces forgery charges.
Police searched her vehicle and found Roxicodone but no other stolen pads.
She was transported to the Craighead County Jail.
