Police: Driver in Highway 63 accident to face DWI charges

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police and Arkansas State Police were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident caused by a drunk driver on Saturday evening.

According to the Jonesboro Desk Sergeant, they were called out to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 63 near the Caraway exit around 9:20 p.m.

On Saturday, Arkansas State Police Trooper Anthony Maggitt told Region 8 News, Kenneth Stallings was driving while intoxicated and veered into the opposite lane hitting Teagan Martin who was driving northbound.

Martin and his passenger received minor scratches. Stallings received non-life threatening injuries.

Maggitt says Stallings has not been charged yet but will face DWI charges.
