Craighead Authorities Raid Meth Lab, Arrest Three

SEPTEMBER 2, 2004 - Posted at 7:48 a.m. CDT

JONESBORO, AR - The Jonesboro-based 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force made three arrests early last night following the raid of a working methamphetamine laboratory north of Brookland on Old Goobertown Road.

The rural lab was raided while in the process of cranking out about $20,000 worth of the illegal substance, according to Craighead County Sheriff's Deputy Wes Baxter.  Propane tanks, a generator and a stolen tractor were recovered at the scene.

The lab was hidden in a wooded area approximately 200 yards behind a house on County Road 792.  Baxter says additional arrests are expected in the case.
