WESTLAKE, OH (WOIO) -

A Westlake dentist has been indicted for prescribing drugs in exchange for money, cocaine and sex.

Corey Schmidt has been named in a 26-count indictment filed by Cuyahoga County Prosecutors. The charges include insurance fraud, theft and drug trafficking.

Records show this went on from January, 2011 to February, 2013.

19 Action News contacted Dr. Schmidt about the indictment.

"That's not true. That's crazy," Dr. Schmidt said. "I haven't heard one thing about this. I was asked about prescription writing. I had documentation for all of it."

Crystal Zond, John Mandia, Abdel Abedrabbo and Kelly Martin were also indicted in the case.

The case against Mandia was later dismissed.
