Searcy PD arrest man in drug store robbery

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – Police in Searcy have arrested a suspect in the Thursday afternoon robbery of a drug store.

According to Searcy Police, 28-year-old Preston Scott Landis of Searcy was arrested about Midnight Friday morning at a home on Williams Avenue.

During the search of the home police found prescription medication, as well as a handgun matching the description in the Thursday robbery. 

Landis is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the White County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond. 

Searcy Police say around 1pm Thursday Landis walked into the Lowery Drug Mart on Golf Course Drive and demanded prescription medication with a gun.
