JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The Arkansas State Department of Athletics kicked off the 2013 Scarlet Scramble golf tour across Northeast Arkansas on Wednesday, June 5 holding the 46th annual ASU Golf Classic at the Osceola Municipal Golf Course.
The ASU Golf Classic is the oldest of A-State's Scarlet Scrambles and was the first of three to be played during the month of June. The remaining tournaments will be played June 7 in Newport and June 27 in Paragould.
The day featured 18 holes of golf and a dinner featuring comments from ASU Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir.
The winning team of Greg Brown, Luther Whitfield, William Goodlow, Judge Thompson and A-State women's basketball coach Brian Boyer posted a score of 16-under par.
