BAXTER COUNTY-AR (KAIT) – A Mountain Home man is in jail for drug charges and outstanding warrants.

In February, police say 28-year-old Charles Matthew Franks sold 2.3 grams of methamphetamine to an informant working with investigators for $300 near the East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home. The transaction was facilitated through a cell phone and monitored by investigators.

Franks failed to appear in both Circuit and District court and was arrested Tuesday.

Along with the failure to appear in court warrants, charges include delivery of a controlled substance, proximity to certain facilities, and unlawful use of a communication device.

Bond for Franks' drug charges was set at $10,000 and he is being held without bond on failure to appear in court. A court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, June 13.
