OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) – A man living in Lepanto is in jail following the execution of warrants by multiple police agencies.

According to Marion Police Department Assistant Chief Gerald Martin, a capital murder warrant was served on John D. Thompson Monday night in Osceola while he was at work. Officers also searched his workplace, as part of the execution of a search warrant.

Martin states another search warrant was executed near the same time at Thompson's home at 118 Will Henry Drive in Lepanto. Evidence was recovered at both locations.

The murder warrant stems from an incident on August 27, 2011. Martin states that Thompson's wife, Danielle Thompson, was found dead at 953 Lackey Road in Marion.

John Thompson is in the Crittenden County Jail and is expected to be in court Wednesday for a formal bond hearing.

Along with Marion police, Louisiana State Police, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Osceola Police Department, Crittenden County Sheriff's Department and Poinsett County Sheriff's Department aided in the investigation.
