LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas State Head Football Coach Bryan Harsin and his coaching staff made a stop in Little Rock on Thursday to host a football camp at War Memorial Stadium.
Around 100 kids attended the camp and Harsin was able to meet with the media during the camp to talk about the importance of reaching out to the rest of the state of Arkansas. "I know the second biggest alumni base is here in Little Rock," said Harsin, "It's very important to get to know our communities around the state."
Harsin said he felt that heading to all parts of the state obviously helped the school with recruiting, but also helped him get to know the fans base, "I think it absolutely helps us to get out and get around these places and get the reception from the fans and the cities," he added.
The camp is the first stop of a trip that will take the football program to several cities in Arkansas to host camps, meet fans, and more. The next big featured camp will be in Texarkana.
