(KAIT) - It was a deadly weekend on Region 8 roads, as there were three deadly wrecks in Northeast Arkansas on Saturday and Sunday.
The first was early Saturday morning in Jackson County. According to Arkansas State Police, 23-year old Tonia Kirby of Bradford was heading west on Highway 18 in Diaz when her SUV went off the road, flipped several times, and threw Kirby from the vehicle.
On Sunday morning, 53-year old Joseph Moody of Batesville was killed on 256 McHue Road in Batesville, when his vehicle left the road and hit a rock wall and a tree.
Later that day in White County, there a two vehicle accident killed one person, and sent three others to the hospital. According to Arkansas State Police, 66-year old Wayne Tanner of Searcy was traveling west on Highway 36 near Searcy, when his truck crossed the center line, and hit another vehicle head-on.
Tanner was thrown from the truck and died. A passenger in the truck, and two people in the other vehicle were taken to White County Medical Center. Their condition hasn't been released.
