Driver in wreck near Cash airlifted to hospital

CASH, AR (KAIT) – The driver involved in a wreck near Cash has been airlifted to a Memphis hospital.

It is unknown how serious the injuries are, but the female driver is alive according to Cash Fire Department officials.

According to E911 Director Jeff Presley there was a report of an overturned car on Highway 226 east of Highway 67 close to Cash on Monday morning.

Cash FD officials say the woman was traveling west, then hit the median, crossed both eastbound lanes and then flipped into the ditch.

One eastbound lane of Highway 226 west of Cash has been opened. Some lanes were closed as a helicopter arrived at the scene.
