    Sources say the stowaway teen from San Jose passed not one, not two, but three pre-flight inspections.
LUDLOW, MA (WSHM) -
Henry Lupa, a Polish immigrant who turned his lifelong dream of opening a zoo into reality in Ludlow, passed away Monday following a long illness. He was 66.
 
Lupa immigrated to America in 1965 and settled in Ludlow, where he started landscaping and construction businesses.
 
In 1996, he opened Lupa Zoo, a non-profit game farm which grew to become the largest animal conservation and education institution in western Massachusetts.
 
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 20, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
 
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21, at 9 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place at Christ the King Church in Ludlow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Christ the King Church Adoration Chapel Building Fund, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA 01056.
