Suspects at large after shooting 2 in central Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police responded to a double shooting just before 2 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Norwood Avenue near Waite Avenue in central Toledo.

According to police, both male victims were sitting on the front porch when a few males came from the yard of a vacant house next door. The suspects fired multiple rounds at the victims, striking both men and the house.

Parrish Crutchfield, 25, was shot in the arm. John Crutchfield, 19, was shot in the side of his torso, as well as his foot.

The injuries did not appear life-threatening and both men were taken to a Toledo hospital. Parrish Crutchfield was last listed in fair condition. John Crutchfield has been treated and released.

Neighbors say there were about 10 people inside of the home, including small children. However, no one inside the home was hurt. The people were at the house for a funeral they planned to attend Thursday morning.

An investigation continues as police still search for the shooters. There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with more information is urged to call police.
