An East Texas girl is battling for her life, diagnosed with bone cancer, and needs the help of East Texans. 9-year-old Pa'sha Williams of Kilgore, a standout softball player, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, bone cancer, in May.

"She sustained the injury playing softball. Her parents were thinking she had a little injury to her leg. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma which is bone cancer in the left tibia, lower leg," says cousin Ramona Harvey.

She's now in treatment in a Dallas hospital, and her family, friends and classmates are holding a fundraiser to help with medical bills.

"To help them out with their expenses, traveling back and forth from Dallas to home; also to help them with expenses while they're gone," Harvey says.

For those who know the energetic little girl, it's heartbreaking, but they all are being strong for Pa'sha, and asking everyone who can help, to be strong as well.

"Our motto is 'tough girls fight strong.' We're trying to be strong for her because I believe that as she sees the mass support coming together in unity and strength it will also help her to continue to fight," says Ramona.

The benefit for Pa'sha Williams will be held tomorrow morning starting at 10 at the 'O'asis' at 611 Highway 135 in Kilgore.
