Drowning victims recovered from Greers Ferry Lake

CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR (KAIT)-  The bodies of two people who drowned on Greers Ferry Lake Saturday afternoon have been recovered.

According to the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, the bodies of 33-year-old Narain Armbya and 26-year-old Chetan Armbya were located on Monday night around 9:45 p.m.

Around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the Chetan Armbya reportedly jumped or fell into the water and began to struggle. Her brother, Narain Armbya, jumped in to help but wasn't able to get back to the boat. 

The bodies were located in 33 feet of water by Missouri State Highway Patrol sonar. Arkansas Game and Fish Commission dive team pulled them from the lake.
