JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 man was officially charged with computer child pornography and resisting arrest Monday afternoon.

52-year-old, Jonesboro resident, Sammy Brown is accused of soliciting sex from what he believed was a 15 year old boy online. That 'boy' turned out to be an undercover Jonesboro Police officer.

According to the police report, Brown thought he was meeting up with that juvenile Friday afternoon for oral sex.

Brown even gave his home address, a description of his vehicle and a description of what he'd be wearing that day. When police arrived, they were able to identify Brown by his outfit and a photo he posted of himself in an online ad.

When they approached him, he told police he was Sammy Brown but when they told him to put his hands behind his back, he said no.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Brown refused to obey officers commands and resisted arrest before he was placed into custody.

After being read his Miranda rights, he told police he was the individual communicating with what he thought was a 15 year old boy and knew it was illegal.

He also told police he had been meeting strangers for oral sex for about seven years.

Brown was employed as a Home Health Nurse with AllCare at the time of the arrest.

According to AllCare, his employment was terminated Monday morning.

AllCare Homecare released the following statement to Region 8 News regarding his arrest:

"Mr. Brown has served as an Independent Contractor for approximately five weeks. He came with impeccable recommendations. AllCare Homecare conducts a very thorough background check prior to placement of any aide with any client. We are shocked and appalled by these allegations made against Mr. Brown as he has always maintained a professional working relationship with clients and staff."

If convicted, Brown could face 5 to 20 years in prison and a $15,000 fine. The judge set his bond at $25,000, and he's set to appear again in court on July 31st.
