    A Lawrence County man is in jail following the stabbing and beating of a woman.

SEARCY, AR (KAIT)-Searcy Police arrested a man in connection to several break-in cases.

Brandon Allen Bates, 28, of Judsonia is suspected of breaking into several vehicles and a home in the River Oaks Area on June 30.

All of the property that was broken into was unlocked and most of the stolen property was returned to the owners.

He is being held at the White County Law Enforcement Center and is charged with breaking and entering, theft of a vehicle, and residential burglary.   

Bates is also expected to receive charges out of Cabot for vehicle theft.

Bond has been set at $7500.
