JPD: Woman shot in home invasion style burglary, looking for two suspects

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police are on the scene of a home invasion style shooting on Baswell Street in Jonesboro.

According to Jonesboro Police, officers responded to a shots fired call in the three-thousand block of Baswell Street around 5:15 Friday afternoon.

Police say that a woman was shot in the foot during the break-in, and police are searching for two suspects. The condition of the woman shot is unknown at this time, but the injury does not to appear to be life threatening. The name of the woman is not being released by police at this time. 

Police have not released a description of the suspects at this time, as police are still on scene conducting interviews and gathering evidence.

Police are asking motorist to avoid the area of Baswell Street at this time, while they work the scene.
