Sheriff: Witness accounts & physical evidence lead to arrest of man out on parole

STONE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A man on parole has been charged for trying to murder someone on June 25th.

According to the Stone County Sheriff's Department, Kirk Harris Jr. a resident from Fox, Arkansas, was charged with attempted first degree murder on June 28th.

They say they were called out to a residence in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they saw a person suffered life threatening injuries.

During an investigation, officers were able to collect physical evidence and interview eyewitnesses. As a result, Harris was charged with attempted murder.

He was taken into the Stone County Jail after being out released on parole in May.

Harris' bond was set at $200,000.
