NAFA hits milestone, vaccinates 3,000 pets in low-cost clinic

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Northeast Arkansans for Animals held a low-cost shot clinic Saturday to help satisfy a growing need for pet care in Northeast Arkansas.

NAFA provides basic vet care for pet owners who can't afford regular vet services.

Dr. Jack Jones has participated in several of these clinics and says it's an on-going effort. "Trying to help them and the community by seeing that the dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies and we provide other basic veterinary care that people simply cannot afford otherwise," Jones said.

The clinic reached a milestone too, as they hit 3,000 rabies vaccinations since the program started.
