Missing woman found and sent to hospital for precautionary measures

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A search was held in Craighead County for a reportedly missing woman who was found hours later, Monday afternoon.

Sergeant Brian Skinner is with the Craighead County Sheriff's Department and he says they received a call about a missing woman.

When they arrived to the resident, deputies were able to determine the 50-year-old woman had wondered away and was last seen wearing a black dress.

Deputies proceeded to conduct a search on the woods behind the residence with volunteers on foot, search dogs, and a crop duster plane.

Sergeant Skinner says they found her in the woods lying in the ground. She was transported to a hospital.

The identity of the woman has not been released. Her medical condition remains unknown as well.
