JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Jonesboro Police have arrested a man for failing to register as a sex offender on not just one but three occasions in the last three years.

Thirty-year-old Gregory Moore pleaded guilty to fourth degree sexual assault back in 2010.

On Monday, he was charged with failure to register, probation violation and being a registered offender living near a school or daycare.

Detective Wes Baxter with Jonesboro Police Department said this isn't his first run-in with JPD.

"This is the second time we have arrested him," said Jonesboro Police Department Detective Wes Baxter. "He has been arrested two other times in different agencies."

According to police reports Detective Baxter was notified that Moore had been released from Pulaski County Jail and had given a Jonesboro address to the Little Rock Parole Office. It had been thirteen days since Moore was released and Moore had yet to register with JPD.

"Once he was released from jail he has ten days to report his new address," said Det. Baxter.

After making contact with Moore, Det. Baxter advised him that his probation had not been transferred. He was then told to come to JPD to update his information and when he failed to do so, he was arrested once again for failure to register.

"I can assure you that this police department will aggressively seek him if he fails to register again," said Det. Baxter.
