Craighead Co. Jonesboro Library: Kids jam during summer program

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Summer fun continues for Region 8kids thanks to the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library.

Children were singing and dancing with Leonardo at theParker Park Community Center, Wednesday. Leonardo performed many songs and allowed kids toparticipate.

Morgan Sallee, the children's librarian, said, "We have a lot of educational programs, we have some theatregroups, we have some musical performers and just some stuff that the kids maynot be exposed to normally on a day to day basis."

Sherry Copeland has been bringing hergranddaughter to library activities since she was small and said, "She learnsabout her letters and the alphabet and the numbers and that sort of thing.  It gives her some chance to be with otherchildren and interact with them."

Every Wednesday, the library holds functionsat the Parker Park center and they are free to the public.
