JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - One person has died following a wreck on Highland Drive in Jonesboro, according to Jonesboro Police.

The accident happened around 9:20 p.m. across from El-Acapulco on Highland.

According to a release from JPD, 44-year-old Johnny Hogan, of Jonesboro, was driving his Chevy Impala east on Highland when he crossed into the center lane and then onto oncoming traffic. That's when police say he sideswiped a PT Cruiser.

Police say Hogan then hit a Kia Optima head-on, causing it to spin out and hit a Ford Crown Victoria.

Hogan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Optima, 62-year-old Robert Johnson, of Jonesboro, was airlifted to a Memphis hospital. His condition is not known.

A passenger in the Crown Victoria was sent to St. Bernards in Jonesboro with non-life threatening injuries.
