JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- The Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas held its 7th annual autism conference Saturday at St. Bernards Auditorium.
The training session was open to special education advocates, parents and the community. The event also included various speakers from around the community.
Marsha Eldridge is a parent of a child with autism and says the conference looks to educate the community on children with autism and ways to explain autism to others. "Sometimes autism can be such a different area, some people look at some children and think wow your child is just different, well the child is different they see the world through a different angle," Eldridge said.
The conference also featured several booths from local vendors.
