ASU's matchups with UAPB and Texas State will be televised

NEW ORLEANS ( – The Sun Belt Conference released today that 29 games for the upcoming football season will be available for viewers and of those, seven will be available on the Sun Belt Network.

For the upcoming season the Sun Belt Network will air seven high-definition football broadcasts as part of a minimum of 39 broadcasts that the network will air. The Sun Belt Network is a partnership of the league and Cox Sports Television (CST) and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) that has been in place since 2008.  The Sun Belt Conference may seek distribution with providers outside of the footprint those two networks reach. Contests are often available on ESPN3 and ESPN GamePlan outside of the CSS and CST markets.

Since its inception and including the upcoming season, the Sun Belt Network will have aired over 150 Sun Belt contests.

The 2013 Sun Belt Network slate kicks off on October 5th with rivals South Alabama and Troy being showcased in a noon kickoff.  League newcomers Georgia State and Texas State will be featured on several occasions – including a head-to-head tilt on October 19.  The SBN schedule concludes with a late season rivalry clash between Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe on November 30.

The release of the schedule also includes the previously announced midweek appearances on ESPN2 and four Thursday night appearances on ESPNU.

Two-time defending R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Champions Louisiana-Lafayette will be featured in both of the ESPN2 matchups. The first of the two midweek games will feature the Cajuns facing the Bobby Petrino led WKU Hilltoppers in Bowling Green, Kentucky. That game will be aired live on October 15th.

A week later, the Cajuns will travel to Jonesboro to face last season's Bowl Champions and two-time defending Sun Belt Champions Arkansas State. The game will take place on October 22nd.

Additional television games can be added through ESPN's 12-day selection option and the announcement of non-conference games that will be televised.
