TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police need the public's help searching for whoever is responsible for breaking into seven homes in one neighborhood over the past two weeks.

Police say the burglaries happened on Dorr Street, Westwood Avenue, Nebraska Avenue and Byrne Road in west Toledo. They say many of the homes were accessed through windows and a variety of items were stolen.

Police want to remind residents to pay attention to their surroundings to make sure they aren't the next victim.

"If you see anything, like people checking doors, or out at strange times, pass that information on to us," said Sgt. Joe Heffernan with the TPD.

Heffernan says any tip could help lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for these break-ins. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Toledo Police Department.
