SPRINGDALE, Ark (NWANaturals.com) - Danny Duffy's recovery from Tommy John Surgery will include another stop in Northwest Arkansas.
The Kansas City Royals have announced a quartet of transactions this afternoon affecting the Northwest Arkansas Naturals roster. LHP Danny Duffy has been transferred from AAA-Omaha to the Naturals. OF Lane Adams will leave behind Hi-A Wilmington and also join the team tonight as they wrap up a four-game set in Tulsa. In the corresponding moves, the Organization has transferred RHP Santiago Garrido and RHP Andy Ferguson to AAA-Omaha. The Storm Chasers are off tonight as the Triple-A All-Star Game is being played in Reno, NV.
Benton, Arkansas-native Andy Ferguson joins Garrido in Omaha after hurling 7 innings of one-run ball last night in Tulsa. The 23-year-old former 11th Round Draft Pick from Arkansas State in 2011 has started 8 of the 22 games he appeared in for the Naturals this season amassing a 2-3 record and a 4.94 ERA in 62 innings.
