EAST CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

East Cleveland police didn't find anything after a thorough search of the area where three female bodes were discovered this weekend.

Police scoured the area of Hayden and Shaw Avenues until 7:30 p.m. Sunday, when chief of police Ralph Spotts ended the search.

Spotts said the investigation will continue after police question the suspect, Michael Madison.

Spotts also said Madison has not been cooperative during questioning.

Madison was arrested Friday in connection with the discovery of the first female body found in a garage Friday morning. Police found two more female bodies in an abandoned house Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, July 21, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office released the following information:

"The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office confirms that three bodies have been received from the vicinity of Hayden and Shaw Avenues in East Cleveland. All three of the decedents are female and in states of advanced decomposition.

Because of this, identification and final cause of death may take several days. Working with East Cleveland Police Department, we are actively pursuing both and will make them available as soon as possible.

We are not currently requesting families of missing persons to submit DNA specimens as part of the identification process but we will advise the public should this step become necessary."

The East Cleveland Police Department plans to have a press conference Monday morning.
