White Co. Sheriff's Dept. search for 2 suspects involved in armed robbery

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – The White County Sheriff's Department is searching for two suspects involved in armed robbery in a convenience store in Searcy.

Bill Higginbotham with the White County Sheriff's Department in a news release, said Allison's Convenience Store in Searcy on Highway 36 and Honeyhill Road was robbed shortly before 9 p.m.

Higginbotham described the suspects as two unknown men and one of them was armed with a black handgun. He said they were wearing black clothes, one with a black bandanna and the other with a red bandanna.

Higginbotham said they took an undisclosed amount of cash and items from the store.

The suspects are believed to be driving a silver four-door Pontiac Grand Am.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
