FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Work is about to begin on a new baseball and track indoor facility at the University of Arkansas.
Site work that includes the demolition of a parking lot is to start Monday. UA athletic director Jeff Long says fundraising is ongoing for the project that is estimated to cost from $7.7 to $9.6 million.
The facility is to include a practice infield, throwing area, batting areas and team space for baseball and will allow for indoor track and field meet throwing events.
