JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - When Football Friday Night cranks back up this fall Jonesboro High School will be boasting a brand new look.
Crews were hard at work on Tuesday afternoon installing the new turf at Cooksey-Johns Stadium. The football field will get a brand new turf surface while the track area will also be upgraded to a new, more useful surface that will allow JHS to host their own track and field events.
The new turf is ProGrass, which is the same playing surface used by Troy, Louisiana-Lafayette, Clemson, Harding University, and Searcy High School along with others.
The Hurricane host their first home football game on September 13th against Conway, the new field will be ready for that game.
