A SEMO women's soccer player killed in a scooter crash last year was honored at the St. Louis Cardinals game Tuesday.

The first pitch was thrown out in honor of Meg Herndon. The 21-year-old defensive star was killed in a scooter crash in September 2012. 

Meg's sister threw out the first pitch.

Around 1,000 family and friends of Herndon were in attendance on her birthday and held up paper fans in her honor.
