Police: Suspects point shotgun at officer during traffic stop

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – Searcy police made four arrests Wednesday after an officer says a suspect pulled out a shotgun during a traffic stop.

According to Searcy Police Chief Jeremy Clark, Officer Jason Dennison pulled over a car for a traffic violation at the intersection of Beebe Capps and Benton.

In a news release Clark told Region 8 News, Officer Dennison approached the car and Chris Bowden, 29, pulled out a shotgun and aimed at Dennison.

Chief Clark said Dennison was able to pull back from the vehicle and call for help. The car took off and headed to the Gin Creek Apartments where four suspects got out of it and ran towards the East Market Street Apartments and entered an apartment.

Police were able to enter the apartment and arrested the four suspects including, Amber Nichole Webb, 25, Michael David Kelly, 37, Chris Bowden, and Will Johnston, 32.

Bowden was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm. He is being held in a $100,000 bond and has a parole hold.

Johnston was charged with fleeing and also has a parole hold.
