JONESBORO (KAIT) - A Hall of Fame head coach will return to Northeast Arkansas in August.
Howard Schnellenberger will be the keynote speaker at the annual ASU Touchdown Club Banquet. It's set for Thursday, August 22nd at the Convocation Center. The buzz from the A-State program the past few seasons has caused the need for a bigger venue.
Schnellenberger retired in 2011 after a 46-year career. It included head coaching stints at Miami, Louisville, Oklahoma, and Florida Atlantic. He won a national championship with Miami in 1983, and a Sun Belt title with the Owls in 2007. Schnellenberger is currently an ambassador with FAU.
Individual tickets are $100 and $175 for two tickets. A table for 10 is $700. It will seat 8 people, plus a ASU coach and a senior football player.
