JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Jonesboro man was arrested early Friday morning after an officer discovered cocaine.

According to Jonesboro police, Timothy Anderson, 31, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Around 12:45 a.m. Friday morning an officer with JPD saw two men standing in Hope Street while on patrol. The officer stopped the men as they moved toward a red truck parked off the road.

The officer noticed that Anderson was "making a throwing motion" with his right arm on the passenger's side of the truck before coming to the back of the vehicle. Identification was then requested by the officer.

While checking the men's identification, the officer notice Anderson was acting very nervous.

The officer went to the passenger side of the truck where Anderson had been and that is where the officer said he found a clear bag containing white rocks. The substance inside the bag tested positive for cocaine, according to police.

The second man was searched and then released.
