Black Rock man arrested on drug charges

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Hoxie police help Lawrence County authorities arrest a man after deputies learned he might have been involved in illegal drug activity.

In a news release, Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson said deputies ran a check on Clarence Richard Bowker, 46, and found he had previous drug charges.

Deputies headed to Bowker's home in Black Rock but he was not there. Deputies were told he might be in Hoxie and contacted police for help in searching for him.

When Bowker was found, officers said he gave them a baggie of meth, baggie of marijuana, and a used glass pipe.

Bowker was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
