Search for Jonesboro stabbing suspect continues

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Jonesboro police are investigating a stabbing that may have been the result of a fight over food. Police have named the suspect and are looking for him.

Police were called Tuesday around 9 p.m. on the 500 block of North Main Street in regards to the stabbing. The victim was stabbed in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police spoke with the victim who said Travis Joe Howard came to the home with food wanting to cook it.

The victim said he told Howard he had already cooked. Then, according to the victim, Howard yelled, took the victim's cane, hit him with it and then stabbed him with a small, jagged knife.

Police are searching for Howard who left the home after the incident.
