Red Wolves begins fall football practice

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State football team has begun fall football practices in preparation for the Aug. 31 season opener at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Red Wolves held their first workout in shorts and helmets on Friday and took part in the annual Media Day activities.

ASU is under its third head coach in three years as Bryan Harsin takes over after Gus Malzahn resigned to become head coach at Auburn. Malzahn departed after one season after taking over from Hugh Freeze after Freeze was hired by Ole Miss.
