Mobile home heavily damaged after late-night fire

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Smith County dispatchers have confirmed a mobile home fire has been contained.

Dispatchers tell KLTV 7 firefighters will continue to monitor the site this morning, until all signs of the fire are extinguished, to prevent flames from spreading.

We're told the home has been heavily damaged, but dispatchers could not confirm if the home was a complete loss at this time.

Multiple fire departments are currently on scene of a fully-involved mobile home fire in Flint.

Smith County dispatchers said the fire began around 11:00 p.m. Thursday, in the 17000 block of Hillside Drive.

Right now, firefighters are working to contain the fire, which is threatening other structures nearby.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Officials said no one was home when the fire began.
