COMSTOCK PARK, MI (KAIT) - A former Arkansas State pitcher had a great night on the hill in Class-A ball on Saturday night.
Brad Allen, who last pitched for the Red Wolves in 2011 before graduating, tossed a no-hitter for the South Bend Silver Hawks on Saturday night in Michigan against the West Michigan White Caps.
Allen held the Whitecaps hitless and to only 2 baserunners the entire night. One base runner came off of Allen's only walk while the other came from an error.
The Silver Hawks are a Class-A affilliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks and won the game behind Allen's great performance by the final score of 2-0.
Allen has made 17 total outing for the Silver Hawks this season and with Saturday's win improved his record to 6-6 on the year.
